Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Racine, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Description

• Work every 3rd weekend and every other holiday (EOH)
• Must have at least 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Prior travel experience required
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Onboarding and Competency Requirements

• Completion of specialty exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
• Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics, with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
• Ascension EKG exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
• Ascension Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
• Ascension color vision test, updated every 3 years
• Ascension skills checklist for specialty, updated annually
• Completion of onboarding education attestation and contract worker onboarding onsite
• Professional references (minimum two) and criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, and national sex offender registry
• Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days of start and updated annually or after breaks in service

Additional Notes

• Must provide a professional resume/profile and signed assignment agreement
• May be required to provide a forward-facing badge photo with no alterations
• Optional: Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) certification recommended
• Travel experience is mandatory for this role
