Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) - Travel Contract
Location: Silverdale, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in general X-ray and fluoroscopy. The role involves working in a hospital radiology department with multiple imaging modalities including general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portable imaging.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-ray Technologist.
- Active ARRT (R) certification.
- Valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist license (must have license in hand at time of application).
- Current BLS certification.
- Must have own lead markers.
- Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment.
Job Duties & Skills
- Perform all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR exams.
- Float between General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Operating Room, Emergency Department, and portable imaging as needed.
- Handle 80-100 imaging studies per 24-hour period.
- Use EMR system EPIC and PACS system SECTRA.
- Operate equipment including GE general X-ray rooms, Shimadzu X-ray room, GE fluoroscopy room, GE portable units, and OEC C-Arms.
- No IV starting required, but IV skills are beneficial.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Shifts vary between 10 and 12 hours, including days and nights.
- Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Weekend shifts may be every weekend or every other weekend depending on needs.
- Holiday work required if scheduled.
- Occasional on-call with a 45-minute response time.
- Scrubs: Any professional color allowed; hospital scrubs provided only for OR staff.
- Department orientation typically lasts 3 days.
Additional Information
- Radiologist available on-site 24/7.
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used in the department.
- Department has 4 general X-ray rooms and 2 fluoroscopy rooms.
- Reporting structure includes both an imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead techs.
