Respiratory Therapist - Cardiopulmonary (Contract)
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Job Details
- Employment Type: Contract
- Shift: Day Shift (06:30 AM - 07:00 PM), three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
- No guarantee of hours
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday
- Flu vaccination required or approved medical/religious exception prior to contract start
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management
- Manage ventilators and non-invasive ventilator support (PB 980, PB 840, V60, Para Pac Transport Vent)
- Perform physician consulting and CPR
- Deliver all aspects of respiratory care
- Use computerized charting and Pyxis medication management
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Hawaii
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Additional Information
- Must have Hawaii license by start of assignment
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved exemption required before contract start
