Radiologic Technologist (Xray Tech) - Bakersfield, CA
Position Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Days Saturday through Monday
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday
- Call Requirement: Rotating call with a 30-minute response time
- Orientation: At least one week, conducted by lead technologist
Job Duties & Environment
- Perform imaging studies including Brain, MRCP, Abdomen, Pelvis, and Extremities
- Average of 100 scans/studies per day
- Use of Radnet and Merge Unity for EMR/PACS
- Equipment includes GE and Toshiba scanners
- Department has 2 scanners/rooms
- May be floated to a nearby location approximately 6.5 miles away
- Radiologist available in-house
- No requirement to start IVs
- Scrub color: Teal (scrubs provided)
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Xray Technologist

- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) in the department
