Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12


Job Description

  • Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Emergency Room.
  • May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
  • Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates.
  • Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
  • ACLS certification.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • TNCC certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Additional Information

  • Typical workweek: 36-40 hours; overtime billable after 40 hours.
  • Night shift includes holiday and overtime multipliers.
  • Call back and on-call pay available.
  • Charge nurse and preceptor pay available.
