Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Akron, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Position in Interventional Radiology within Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
- Travel/contract assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Instructor or Provider; RQI acceptable). Must be current and renewed if expiring within 30 days of start.
- National technical certification if required for the specialty.
- Comprehensive background check including 7-year FCRA compliant search.
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and updated annually. Fingerprints must be completed under code 4723.09 (Nursing).
- Fingerprinting results must be received prior to extension contracts; some Radiology/Cardiology roles (X-Ray Techs, MRI Techs) may start with results pending if fingerprints are completed.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions.
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M 1860 small/regular or 1870+).
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Tdap vaccine every 10 years (medical exemptions reviewed case-by-case; religious exemptions not accepted).
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start or chest x-ray if prior positive.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal.
- Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination documented.
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; booster if negative/equivocal.
- Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31). Declinations not accepted.
- 10-panel drug screen required annually (instant screens not accepted).
- Two professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director.
- Application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area.
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start is mandatory. Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome and cannot be skipped. Badge pickup required after module completion.
- Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID) required and must be carried during assignment.
