Cath Lab Technologist – Phoenix, Arizona
Job Details
- Specialty: Cath Lab Tech
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 12 hours per day, approximately 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks minimum (no contracts shorter than 13 weeks accepted)
- Unit: Cath Lab (3 main rooms: 1 EP, 1 Hybrid for vascular & cardiac cases)
- Cases: 10-25 cases per day
- EMR Systems: Cerner and Xper
- Call Requirement: 8-12 days per month, including holidays in rotation
- Orientation: 2 days floor-specific on-the-job orientation
- Response Time: 30 minutes
- Equipment: Phillips and Siemens; Telemetry via Phillips

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of core Cath Lab experience
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ARRT certification required (must be able to scrub)
- Arizona MRTBE CRT license required
- BLS certification required
- Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (max 2 attempts; failure results in 6-month disqualification in region)
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Must have own vehicle for travel assignments
- No facial piercings and only natural hair colors allowed
- Prior travel experience required for ED and Neuro ICU (not specified for Cath Lab but travel teams not accepted for Cath Lab tech/RN pairs)
- Cannot hold multiple contracts simultaneously with this employer
- Must have been off permanent staff with this employer for 12 months to be eligible for travel assignment

- Charge nurse present
- Rad techs serve as circulating and scrub nurse aides (BLS certified)
- Covers Endoscopy and Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support available
- No IV team on unit
- Scrub color provided
- Common patient diagnoses: interventional cardiology, EP lab cases, peripheral vascular, mitral clip, TAVR, IABP, and EMTALA placements
