Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - Mason City, Iowa
Job Type
- Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Work Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every third weekend
- Every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current physical/health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- Fit test completed
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test; if positive TB, chest x-ray required per regional guidelines
- Proof of immunizations or immunity for:
- MMR (2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted)
- Varicella (1 vaccination or IgG titer)
- COVID-19 vaccine with booster through September 2025, or approved declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction)
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- Background and compliance checks including:
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check (last 7 years)
- Social Security Number verification
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED)
- Exclusion screenings (OIG, EPLS, NSO)
- Conflict of interest disclosure
- Code of conduct agreement
- Confidentiality and information security agreement
- Integrity and audit services form
- Non-employee upload form
- System access form (completed one week before start)
- Child and adult dependent abuse training (Iowa only)
- Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, and abuse registry checks (within 30 days prior to start)
- OFAC sanctions screening (within 30 days prior to start)
- Trinity Core Exam within the last year
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
