Description

Job Opportunity: Technologist - Echo

Location

  • Waterloo, Iowa

Employment Type

  • Temporary contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Day shift
  • Approximately 7-9 cases per day
  • 36-40 hours per week, overtime billable after 40 hours
  • Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed

Job Description

  • Echo technologist role focused on transesophageal echo (TEE) cases only; no vascular cases during assignment
  • Equipment experience required with Phillips and GE ultrasound systems
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 24 months of recent experience in Echocardiography (Echo) or vascular diagnostics, with emphasis on Echo
  • TEE (transesophageal echo) experience required
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Skills checklist specific to Echo technologist discipline required
  • Professional references from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or equivalent within the last 24 months preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric case experience highly preferred

  • Orientation date: July 13
  • On-call pay and overtime rates apply (details not included here)
  • Local radius rule: 50 miles
  • Average cases per day: 7-9
  • Employee separation policy restricts certain past employees from working travel assignments in this market
