Cath Lab RN - Florida (Panama City)

Job Details

  • Specialty: RN Cath Lab
  • Location: Panama City, Florida
  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • On-Call Requirement: 1 to 2 days per week and 1 to 2 weekends per month
  • Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: July 4th, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Florida
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Credentials & Compliance

  • Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to submission
  • Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and match address requirements)
  • Completion of onboarding requirements including:
    • Core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) with minimum 80% passing score
    • EKG exam with minimum 80% passing score (updated every 3 years)
    • Unit-specific checklist (optional for onboarding)
    • Nursing contract worker onboarding (completed onsite)
    • Education attestation and pre-hire modules
    • Cerner test-out and training checklist
    • Badge photo (front-facing, white or blue background, no filters)
  • Background checks and verifications:
    • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (updated annually)
    • EPLS check within 90 days of start
    • Employment verification for past 7 years (updated annually)
    • Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start)
  • Health and immunization requirements:
    • Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
    • MMR: documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
    • Varicella: documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history; no declinations accepted
    • Tdap: valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
    • Hepatitis B: vaccination series completion or signed declination
    • Influenza vaccine (optional; mask required if declined during flu season)
    • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start; updated annually)
    • TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; positive results require chest X-ray and annual questionnaire
    • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • Drug screening:
    • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
    • Includes testing for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, PCP, methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, buprenorphine, methadone, oxycodone, morphine, and ecstasy
    • Must include MRO review for prescriptions or negative-dilute results

Additional Information

  • Must comply with all onboarding and credentialing requirements prior to assignment start
  • Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually for specialty
  • Post-assignment evaluations and optional legal documentation (e.g., name change) may be requested

This position is suited for experienced Cath Lab RNs with strong cardiac and vascular procedure skills, who are comfortable with on-call and weekend responsibilities, and meet comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
