Job Opportunity: RN Step Down
Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a step-down unit with a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac (preferably cardiac drips), post-operative (orthopedic, genitourinary, gynecological, general surgery), and general medical patients.
- Must be adaptable and able to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within a 40-mile radius if needed.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.
- Travel nursing experience preferred.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 2 years of step-down nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
