Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Shift: Day shifts, Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day (start between 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM)
Schedule: No weekends, no call
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Coverage across multiple locations within approximately 11 miles of each other
- Primarily daytime hours with consistent weekday schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Completion of a program at an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Background check within 90 days prior to start, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Monthly monitoring through federal exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) upon hire
- Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and BID Form required prior to start
- Education verification required for Radiologic Technologist program completion
- Drug screening required per clinical standards (not annually unless specified)
- Physical exam must meet agency standards (collected within 1 year)
Certifications and Testing
- BLS (AHA) required and must be kept current with renewal plans finalized by the 15th of the month prior to expiration
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify with unit description)
- Facility-specific telemetry testing and pass/fail exams may be required for certain clinical roles (not specified for this role)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes, including TB questionnaire updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 doses or positive titers required; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
- Varicella: 2 doses or positive titer required; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
- Hepatitis B vaccination series with positive titer or facility-specific declination form required for direct patient care roles
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season (September 22 – April 13)
- Other vaccines (e.g., Meningococcal) required if working in specific departments (e.g., Microbiology)
Documentation and Onboarding
- Photo for badge must meet facility specifications (passport-style, no headwear except for religious/medical reasons)
- Completion of facility-specific communicable disease form within 90 days of start
- Completion of employment application and annual skills checklist required
- Two clinical references from the last 3 years required per agency standard
