Registered Nurse (CVOR) - Travel Contract

Location

Long Beach, California

Job Details

Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse
Shift: Days
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Call and work rotation on weekends and holidays
Call response time: 30 minutes
Floating: Only within the Operating Room to other specialties
Orientation: Approximately one week or until comfortable
Typical cases: Straightforward CABG, AVR, MVR, Thoracotomy
Scrubbing: Not required but preferred
Circulators: 2 per case
Number of suites: 1
Cases per week: About 2
EMR systems used: Cerner, Surginet
Scrub color and supplies provided

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification

Additional Information

Charge Nurse handles next day assignments
Call coverage: One CVOR RN covers every night
