Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Job Summary

• Provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) setting.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and collaborate with other specialties to adjust care plans.
• Work effectively under pressure as part of a healthcare team managing medical and nursing care.
• The ED is rural with nine beds, handling over 15,000 patients annually, currently undergoing expansion.
• Use Meditech electronic health record system; ability to learn quickly is required.

Schedule

• Night shift: three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 pm – 7:00 am).
• Must be able to cover mid-shifts as needed.
• Travelers start on Wednesdays.
• Orientation week may have adjusted hours (36 guaranteed hours for a 48-hour contract week).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Meditech familiarity or ability to learn quickly
