Description
MRI Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shifts: Day/Evenings, 8 or 10-hour shifts between 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
- May be asked to work one weekend day if coverage is needed (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- On-call requirement:
- Monday-Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekends: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (randomly assigned, scheduling flexibility provided)
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with 2 years of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification:
- ARRT MRI (MR) OR
- ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Background check within 90 days prior to start, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification required for Radiologic Technologist program
- Wisconsin Caregiver Screening and BID Form mandatory before start
- Drug screening required to meet clinical standards
- Physical exam must be collected to meet agency standards (not facility required)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes; TB questionnaire updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 doses or positive titers; medical/religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
- Varicella: 2 doses or positive titer; medical/religious exemptions accepted
- Hepatitis B vaccination series with positive titer or facility-specific declination form if declining
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season (09/22 – 04/13)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap proof of one adult Tdap vaccination required
- Meningococcal vaccine or declination required if working in Microbiology (not typically applicable for MRI Tech)
Testing & Competency
- Facility-specific telemetry testing not required for this specialty
- Medication and competency exams as applicable by profession
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required
Documentation & Other Requirements
- Passport-style photo for badge (no selfies, headwear only for religious/medical reasons)
- Employment application and annual skills checklist required
- Two clinical references within the last 3 years (agency standard)
Additional Notes
- Start dates available: July 6 or July 13, 2026
- Primary work location and additional sites may be assigned within the facility system
- Facility requires strict adherence to certification renewals and background review processes prior to start
