Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract
Location: Dothan, Alabama
Shift: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (traveler preference)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Block scheduling
- Nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:6-7
- Must be proficient in IV drips including Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone
- No local candidates within 90 miles (must live at least 90 miles away)
- No prior permanent employment at this facility within the last 10 years
- First-time travel nurses are welcome
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Proficient in Cardizem (diltiazem) drips
- Proficient in Amiodarone drips
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must bring a valid driver’s license matching the name on RN license and social security card on first day
- Photo for badge: passport-style headshot with light background, no nose rings, submitted within 72 hours of signing
- Preferred badge name must be confirmed before start
- COVID-19 vaccination is voluntary
- Religious and medical vaccination exemptions must be completed on facility-specific forms
- Facility will provide additional training modules via their system; deadlines must be met prior to orientation
- Must provide completed employment application/resume and skills checklist updated annually
Work Hours
- 12-hour night shifts, typically 48 hours per week
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Must be fully pre-closed and ready to sign contract upon offer
- All licenses expiring during assignment must have proof of renewal before start; no exceptions
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience, comfortable working night shifts in a telemetry/medical-surgical setting, and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
