Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Shift: Day Shift (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Unit Details
- Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
- No call required
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed (may include CNA/Tech role)
- No block schedule requests allowed
- Holidays: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler must work it; if 2 holidays, must work both; if 3 holidays, must work 2
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Orientation hours vary by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Manager reviews candidate profile within 48 hours of confirmation to determine fit
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers accepted
- Floating may include CNA/Tech duties within scope of practice
- No call responsibilities
- Compliance with facility dress and professional appearance policies required
- Candidate must review and sign facility code of conduct prior to start
