Description

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel/Contract)

Location: Dothan, Alabama
Shift: Day (4x12 hours, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts accommodated per traveler preference
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Work on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with high acuity patients
Patient ratio: 1:6 or 1:7
Must be comfortable managing drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
Open to new travel nurses (no prior travel experience required)
Block booking available; every other week (EOW) required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Proficient in managing Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone drips
