RN Critical Care (Night Shift) - Long-Term Assignment
Location: Olympia Fields, Illinois
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide direct patient care in ICU and Telemetry units, floating between both as needed.
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic results.
- Respond quickly and accurately to patient condition changes or treatment responses.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- No on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the last year.
- Experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Required Onboarding Credentials and Compliance
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Completion of specialty and basic pharmacology exams with a minimum score of 80%.
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable).
- Valid government-issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport).
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start.
- Annual fit test for respirator masks completed prior to start.
- Immunization or immunity proof for:
- COVID-19 (2 vaccines + booster or declination)
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination)
- Influenza vaccine or declination (required Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- Varicella (vaccination or titer)
- Tdap (declination not accepted in some states)
- Tuberculosis testing within one year of start date.
- Annual TB questionnaire.
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work (completed annually or within 60 days of start).
- National criminal background check within one year of start date.
- Social Security Card or Passport.
- Clear, professional badge photo (JPEG format).
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
- Signed current job description (within the year).
- Completion of workplace violence prevention training (DCI/BVP).
- Completion of onboarding education attestation prior to clearance to start.
- Prime agency attestation completed after all credentials are uploaded.
Additional Notes
- Must be able to float between ICU and Telemetry units.
- No prior travel experience explicitly required.
- No on-call duties.
