Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown (Nights)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts.
• Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:6 on night shift; charge nurses assign patients considering cardiac experience for safety.
• Work schedule includes 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license at time of submission.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/Progressive Care experience, including cardiac stepdown.
• Must have EPIC experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification.
• Current AHA or ARC ACLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Skills checklist specific to Stepdown/Progressive Care discipline.
• Work history/resume must document at least 24 months of Stepdown/Progressive Care experience.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or equivalent within the last 24 months is preferred.

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Night shift patient assignments are managed to ensure safety based on cardiac experience.
• Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically throughout the year.
