Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Description
- Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
- Minimum 2 years full-time adult Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- At least one completed travel assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with adult patients
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Emergency Pediatric Life Support (EPLS) certification
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training
Documentation and Onboarding Requirements
- Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to submission
- Signed assignment agreement and onboarding paperwork completed onsite
- Ascension badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and other required screenings within 90 days of start
- Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days of start
- Completion of Ascension onboarding education attestation and nursing contract worker onboarding modules
- Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules
- Epic test results and training checklist with signed attestation
- Annual updates required for many certifications, exams, and health screenings

- Optional: Ascension Unit Specific Checklist and Hiring Manager Evaluation
- Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on staffing needs
