Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
Location
- Asheboro, North Carolina

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday through Friday
Specialty

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- No first-time travelers accepted
Certification & Registration Requirements
- Must be registered with either ARDMS or CCI
- Acceptable credentials include RDCS and RVT or RCS and RVS
- Candidates with only RVS certification and Echo experience will be considered
Skills & Experience
- Adult patient experience required
- Proficient in Abdominal Aorta, Aorta, Arterial Graft Studies, Carotid, Color Flow, Doppler Studies, Duplex, Lower Extremity Arterial & Venous, M-Mode, Renal Artery Duplex, Transcranial Doppler, Upper Extremity Arterial & Venous
- Experience with PACS and Philips imaging systems
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Current and valid state license as applicable for Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC)
- National tech certification relevant to specialty (ARDMS or CCI credentials as above)
- Pass/Fail EKG (Dysrhythmia) exam required prior to start
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (EPIC and Dysrhythmia/EKG) required
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card for badge issuance
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including aliases, criminal, sex offender, federal court, education verification, and international searches if applicable
- Education verification by a third party, including foreign equivalency evaluation if education was obtained outside the U.S.
- Transcript or diploma copy required for verification of highest education
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (adult vaccine proof)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- Fit mask test completed within current calendar year (N95 approved types)
- Fingerprinting required only if applicable by position (not typical for this role)
Documentation & Verification
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
- Verification of all employment within last 5 years through third party
- Two supervisory references required from clinical assignments within last 24 months (one within 12 months)
- Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal
Additional Notes
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Candidate must be aware of and agree to outpatient setting
- Candidate must complete all compliance requirements by deadline (12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date)
- Candidate must submit a professional badge photo meeting strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing)
- Candidate will receive Workday login and onboarding tasks prior to start, including multi-factor authentication setup
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid Cardiac Sonographer license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Sonographer experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Cardiac Sonographer
- Registration with ARDMS or CCI
- RVS certification accepted
- Experience working with adult patients
