Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM), weekdays only
On-Call: Yes

Job Summary

Seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse with recent experience to provide specialized cardiac catheterization lab nursing care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience circulating in the Cath Lab
• Experience with conscious sedation

Work Schedule

• 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
• Weekdays only
• On-call duties required
• Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) time

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I-9 or attestation)
• Color copy of valid driver’s license (photo ID must be carried during work hours)
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted if primary source verification unavailable)
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
• TB screening: Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 30 days of start; TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) positive titer or 2 vaccines (declination form acceptable)
  • Varicella positive titer or 2 vaccines (declination form acceptable)
• Annual flu vaccination required during flu season (Sept 3 – Mar 31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing
• Facility-specific orientation and HealthStream modules must be completed prior to start date
• Recent supervisor/manager references (two required, verified within 12 months)
• Skills checklist and performance evaluations as applicable

Additional Notes

• Candidates must reside between 31-50 miles from assignment location; those within 30 miles are not considered
• Fingerprinting required for background check; candidates out-of-state must be willing to travel to Georgia for fingerprinting or complete mailed packet registration independently
• Photo for badge must meet facility specifications (passport-style, no selfies, shoulders up, plain background)
• Business Associate Agreement and other facility-specific documents may be required and are time sensitive
