Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Summary
- Perform a variety of radiological procedures with a focus on interventional radiology.
- Adhere to hospital safety standards and radiation safety protocols (ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely).
- Provide patient care across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
- Perform equipment quality control and accurately document all required records.
- Follow hospital and department policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols.
- Demonstrate competency in both patient care and technical imaging skills.
- Work independently and effectively.
- After 1 year of experience, able to instruct students and new staff.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio.
- ARRT certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
Health and Safety Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine series preferred but not required; medical or religious exemptions accepted.
- Proof of MMR immunity (positive titers within last 15 years) or appropriate booster protocol.
- Proof of Varicella immunity (positive titers within last 15 years) or appropriate booster protocol.
- Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completed or signed declination form accepted.
- Annual 2-step TB test (PPD or IGRA) with negative results within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required.
- Fit test for approved respirators completed within 1 year prior to start.
- Influenza vaccine proof required during flu season (October–March) or completion of masking and declination forms.
Background and Compliance
- Criminal background check within 6 months prior to start, including social security trace and national sex offender registry.
- Ohio fingerprinting and FBI background checks required depending on residency duration.
- Employment and education verification through third-party sources.
- I-9 verification confirming eligibility to work in the U.S.
- OIG exclusion check and federal sanctions screening within 6 months prior to start.
- Drug screen within 60 days prior to start; 10-panel urine drug screen required (instant tests not accepted).
- Submission packet required including resume, professional references (within last 2 years), job application, and employment history form.
Documentation and Onboarding
- Non-expired photo ID required.
- Badge photo (headshot with plain background) required.
- Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance; annual renewal required.
- All required documentation must be current and uploaded as specified.
Additional Notes
- Temporary licenses are not accepted; permanent valid license required.
- Attestations are generally not accepted except where explicitly allowed.
- Must maintain compliance with all hospital and regulatory standards throughout assignment.
