Job Summary
Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions without surgery. Support includes cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and pain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers during procedures, acting as a scrub tech and maintaining a sterile field.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide comfort.
- Operate specialized radiologic equipment for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Perform quality control, cleaning, disinfecting, and equipment maintenance.
- Transfer images and data to electronic health systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Conduct post-testing quality reviews to ensure documentation and standards compliance.
- Respond to patient and family inquiries regarding diagnostic testing and results.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide patient-centered care.
- Provide on-call clinical coverage as assigned, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Support academic partnerships by teaching students and mentoring new or less experienced team members.
- Assist with onboarding new staff and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Graduation from a post-secondary health science educational program, which may include cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT, meeting standards defined by ARRT or CCI
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT (RT), RCES, or RCIS certification
- Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Prior travel experience at Level 1
Work Hours
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Additional Information
- Experience with STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart procedures in the lab.
- Familiarity with Phillips and Siemens imaging equipment.
- Documentation performed in Epic; hemodynamic system used is Xper.
