ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Thomasville, Georgia

Position Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
• Location: Thomasville, Georgia
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
• Shift: Night (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 48 hours
• Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW)
• Float: Possible float to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU)
• Holidays: Required to work holidays
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Proficient in:

  • Mechanical Ventilation (Vents)
  • Intracranial Pressure Monitoring (ICP)
  • Telemetry
  • Pulmonary Artery (PA) Lines
  • Balloon Pumps
  • Swan-Ganz Catheter (SWANZ)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Social Security Number trace, county checks, national sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, nationwide checks
  • Education verification required for all candidates
• Licensure Verification: Primary source verification and NURSYS verification required
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 30 days of start; no PPDs accepted
  • TB questionnaire within 30 days of start
  • Immunizations or positive titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (9/3 - 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Fit Testing: Completed onsite at no cost
• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo required within 24 hours of signing
• References: Two recent supervisor/manager level references verified within 12 months
• Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
• Performance Evaluations: Required if previously worked with the facility for over 1 year
• Facility-Specific Training: HealthStream modules must be completed prior to first day

Additional Notes

• Minimal to no Return to Origin (RTO) allowed; must be included on submission
• Candidates with an address within 30 miles of assignment location will not be considered; candidates 31-50 miles away may have reduced bill rate (not relevant for pay disclosure)
• Fingerprinting requirements apply for CNAs only; not applicable for this RN role
• Strict adherence to dress code and documentation submission order is required
• Flu exemption requires detailed documentation and facility approval; mask must be worn if exemption granted
