Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM (12.5 hours)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH); block scheduling not allowed
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a larger Emergency Department or critical care setting.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience or critical care experience.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- Must be proficient with EPIC electronic health record system.
- May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Onboarding Requirements
- Completion of onboarding modules and attestations including:
- Nursing contingent worker onboarding.
- Specialty and core competency exams.
- Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation.
- Color vision test.
- Skills checklist updated annually.
- Various required professional and personal health documentation uploaded as per policy.
Additional Notes
- This position requires flexibility to float to other units or nearby facilities within a 40-mile radius.
- Block scheduling is not permitted.
- Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
