Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: AM
Job Overview
- Float position covering Medical HVCC, Surgical ICU (SICU), and Intermediate Care (IMC) units
- Work in a 32-bed Medical ICU licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients, split across two floors
- Patient ratios typically 1:2, with 1:1 for high acuity cases
- Common cases include sepsis, end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and acute kidney injury (AKI) requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
- 48-hour contract accommodations available
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Critical Care Float experience
- Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NIHSS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association

- Seeking strong ICU nurses with solid clinical backgrounds; new graduates with only 1 year experience may be considered too inexperienced for this unit
