Rad Tech Job Opportunity

Location: Fremont, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shifts: Combination of day and evening shifts (first half day shift, second half evening shift)
• Hours: 8-hour shifts, approximately 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Flexible availability required
• Call/Standby: None
• Scheduling: Manager assigns shifts; two techs on duty at all times
• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs (not provided but some available at hospital)
• Orientation: Unit tour plus one week of training
• Work Environment:

  • Department has 4 imaging rooms plus portable units
  • Coverage includes X-ray and CT areas, possible OR coverage
  • Radiologist on-site during the day until 6 pm; after hours reads done remotely
  • No IV starts required

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• California Fluoroscopy License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficient in operating general radiology equipment (Phillips, GE, Carestream, Shimadzu) including fixed and portable scanners
• Experience with general imaging studies: chest, spine, extremities
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and PACS systems

Additional Notes

• Must be flexible and adaptable to department needs
• Willingness to work both day and evening shifts, including every other weekend with Monday off following evening weekend shift
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) support; lead tech available 24/7
