Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (Nights)

Location: Keene, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in a 10-bed ICU unit with a 2:1 RN-to-patient ratio
  • Patient population ranges from adolescent to geriatric, Level III Trauma
  • May float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Responsibilities include managing IV drips, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medications, and arterial lines
  • EPIC electronic health record experience required
  • Charge nurse and preceptor skills are a plus
  • Must have own vehicle for transportation
  • No block scheduling or schedule accommodations will be considered
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at time of application; no more than 5 days allowed
  • Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Hampshire
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Additional Information

  • No 48-hour guarantee for this assignment
  • All scheduling requests and time off must be included with submission; requests after offer or during interview will not be approved and may result in offer rescindment
  • Facility is a regional referral center with access to primary and specialty care
  • Location offers access to outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and sightseeing in New England
