OR RN - General Surgery

Location: Minot, North Dakota
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room specializing in General Surgery.
• Must be able to perform all specialties except Cardiothoracic and Neurosurgery.
• Facility is a Level 2 trauma center.
• Shifts vary between:

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• Schedule includes 5x8 hour shifts, approximately 40 hours per week.
• Call requirement: One weekday call per week plus parts of 1-2 weekends in a 6-week rotation.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is required.
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota.
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Candidates must be able to work across multiple surgical specialties except Cardiothoracic and Neurosurgery.
• Vendor candidates must be added to the vendor pool if offered and accepting the contract.
