Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Job Description

• Provide patient care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Teach patients and their significant others about health conditions and care plans.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon (license does not need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain).
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS issued by the American Heart Association, TNCC, PALS issued by the American Heart Association (certifications do not need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain).

Additional Information

• 16 hours of unbillable time expected.
• Ability to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract period.
• The facility offers comprehensive medical services including pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, diabetes and kidney disease treatment, geriatric medicine, emergency medicine, and various specialty services.
• Employee health services include access to an in-house Nurse Practitioner for employees and their dependents.
