Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Arlington, Virginia
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Unit: Respiratory

Job Description

• Provide direct and indirect total respiratory care to assigned patients.
• Supervise assigned personnel.
• Must be knowledgeable of department and hospital policies related to respiratory care.
• Strong communication skills required (written, verbal, auditory, visual).
• Patient population is primarily adult (95%) with occasional pediatric patients from the Emergency Department.
• This is not a NICU respiratory therapy position.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.

Additional Information

• Candidate must complete a traveler checklist prior to start.
• Must wear both agency and facility badges at all times.
• EPIC training modules may be required depending on assignment.
• Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Drug testing and fit testing are time-sensitive and must be completed promptly.
• Medical and religious exemptions for flu vaccine require documentation and approval.
• Facility policies require review and signature on multiple documents before starting.

Patient Population

• Primarily adult patients.
• Small percentage of pediatric patients from the Emergency Department.
• Not a NICU position.

Contract Details

• Travel/contract position.
• 13-week assignment.
• Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift.
