Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Nights
Location: Lima, Ohio
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Job Description
- Responsible and accountable for patient care during assigned shift.
- Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
- Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills.
- Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries.
- Must float to all units within skill level and scope of practice; refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current American Heart Association certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
Additional Information
- Nonbillable hours: 8 hours.
- Overtime, holiday, and callback shifts compensated at 1.25x regular rates.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: MediTech.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
