Description

Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Burlington, North Carolina

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse
Location: Burlington, NC
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
Unit: Inpatient with a focus on stroke (neurology) patient population
Float Requirement: Must float between all facilities within the health system

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Successful completion of pass/fail testing for EKG and medication administration
Experience with feeding tube care and management
Proficient in accessing ports
Skilled in blood product administration
Experience in central line care and management
Experience in PICC line management
Experience in peripheral line care and management
Competent in starting intravenous lines
Experience with wound care and wound vac management
Stroke patient care experience
