Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (Nights)

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care for a 19-bed unit with a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:5, possibly 1:7 on nights.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care activities.
• Responsibilities include formulating and revising individualized care plans, coordinating and supervising patient care, prioritizing tasks, patient education, discharge planning, and accurate documentation (wound assessment, medication administration, nursing flow sheets).
• Delegate tasks appropriately to healthcare team members.
• Dress code: Any color scrubs.
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable).
• Call, call-back, and charge nurse duties are not applicable.
• Overtime paid at 1.25x multiplier.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience of at least 6 months is required.
• New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license valid in New Hampshire (must be uploaded).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• EPIC EMR experience is required.
• Supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment (must be documented).
• Must have own vehicle for transportation.
• Must be able to work the posted schedule without shift accommodations.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to interview; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
• Block scheduling requests will not be considered.
• Permanent address must be included in profile.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Telemetry/Progressive Care is preferred.

Additional Information

• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
• The facility is a 25-bed hospital serving a broad patient age range with specialty surgery focus including orthopedics and neurosurgery.
• The area offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and skiing.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
