Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night Shift)

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation and Competency Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific online onboarding and training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation during orientation (90% and 80% passing scores respectively)
• Annual skills checklist required
• Primary source verification of RN license and Nursys verification within 30 days of start
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing policies required

Additional Notes

• Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Physical exam and eye exam do not need to be updated annually if currently on assignment without a break
• Candidates with a break longer than 30 days may need updated physical and eye exams
• Medical and religious exemptions for vaccines and fit mask must be approved through agency and facility process
• Modules and onboarding must be completed before clearance to start; delays in completion may affect start date

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs licensed in Ohio or compact states, comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment with strict compliance and credentialing requirements.
