Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job in North Carolina
Location
- City: Reidsville, North Carolina
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
- Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: Every other week rotation, holidays as needed
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Float: Required to float between all facilities within the system
Patient Population & Care Focus
- Acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
- Patient diagnoses include:
- Acute/chronic respiratory illness
- Post-op general surgery and gynecological surgery
- Post-op total knee and hip replacements
- Orthopedics, acute and chronic pain
- Active GI bleeding, congestive heart failure/pulmonary edema
- Diabetes (hyper- and hypoglycemic conditions)
- Renal failure, drug overdose
- Patients with Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) score below 7
- Stable COVID-19 patients
- Exclusions: Suicidal patients, arrhythmia, radioactive therapy, uncontrolled or new onset seizures
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
