Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU
Location: Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Schedule: Every third weekend, every other holiday
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid RN license for Iowa.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (defaulted to higher requirement if discrepancy found).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Health and Safety:
- Fit Test (respiratory protection).
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (specific substances required, no THC).
- COVID-19 vaccine proof or approved exemption (valid through October 2026).
- MMR vaccination or immunity proof.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completed or proof.
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test for TB.
- Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (within last year).
- Tdap vaccination or declination (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction).
- Additional Training/Screening:
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
- Trinity Skills Checklist (clinical competency verification).
- Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only).
- Background Checks and Compliance:
- Federal, nationwide, county criminal background check (last 7 years), including SSN verification.
- Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registry checks.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check.
- OIG/GSA exclusion check.
- NSO (National Sex Offender) registry check.
- OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check.
- Trinity Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Integrity and Audit Services, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Non-Employee Upload forms signed and on file.
- Education verification (highest level of academic education).
- Trinity Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
- Trinity I9 form completed by agency.
- System Access Form completed one week before start.
Additional Information
- Must attach scanned copies of all required certifications and licenses with expiration dates, including front and back images where applicable.
- License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start.
- Resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references required for submission.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
