Registered Nurse (ER/Medsurg/Swing)

Location: Lisbon, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (18:30 - 07:00)
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Scheduling: Self/team scheduling
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every third holiday
Floating: Will float to MedSurg
Orientation: 1 shift (12 hours) of unit/department-specific orientation

Unit & Patient Information

• Department: Emergency Room (ER)
• Trauma Level: Critical Access
• Number of Beds/Trauma Bays: 2
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Traumas, Strokes, STEMIs, Chest pains, Respiratory diagnoses, Lacerations
• Common Drips: Heparin, Levophed
• Charge Nurse: Present on each shift and takes an assignment
• No nurse aides, EMTs, paramedics, or patient sitters on shift
• RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license for the state of North Dakota
• Experience in ER, Medsurg, or Swing nursing (minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; assume relevant clinical experience required)
