Registered Nurse – ER (Night Shift) – Travel/Contract
Location: Randallstown, Maryland
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit
- Unit Highlights:
- Primary Stroke Center (Gold status with American Heart Association)
- STEMI cases managed with potential Cath lab intervention
- Two locked Behavioral Health units in the ED (ratio 1:6), supported by ED staffing and security
- Two rapid evaluation units for urgent and critical care needs with rapid medical screenings
- Scrubs: Navy Blue
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification
Additional Compliance & Facility Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific documents including:
- Badge photo for ID
- Parking registration form
- Consent to release information
- Attendance and floating policies for contracted staff
- I9/E-Verify attestation
- ReadySet account setup and health assessment surveys prior to start
- Timely completion of labs and health documents by Monday prior to start to ensure on-time onboarding
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Radiation badge provided by facility if applicable (not provided by agency)
Notes
- This unit accepts first-time travel nurses.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
- Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department environment with behavioral health and stroke care components.
- Emphasis on compliance with all certifications, exams, and facility-specific policies is critical for assignment success.
