Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)
Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses, including Med Surg, Telemetry, Emergency Department (ED), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Must be comfortable working in these areas.
- Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime is billable after 40 hours.
- Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
- Orientation occurs every Monday.

- 12-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience managing cardiac drips, insulin drips, and titration
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
Additional Information
- Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
- Call back pay with minimum 2-hour call back.
- Charge/preceptor pay available.
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted with sufficient nursing experience.
