• Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• On call every other weekend

Job Summary

Perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under physician direction in Angio Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology, including:

• Extra-cranial and intracranial angiography
• Vertebroplasty and other spinal injections
• Myelograms, cisternograms
• Embolizations, cryoablations, coilings, clot retrievals

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for IR and neurointerventional procedures such as discograms, aspirations, therapeutic injections, angiography, and ablations
• Assist in sterile and non-sterile neurointerventional procedures including tumor, epistaxis, and spinal lesion embolization
• Operate advanced imaging equipment following established protocols
• Ensure radiation safety and proper safety standards
• Perform quality assurance checks on equipment
• Maintain supply inventory for IR and neuro IR procedures
• Review coding procedures for accurate billing of neuro IR and IR procedures
• Instruct students and residents; serve as preceptor when needed
• Maintain patient and hospital information confidentiality
• Comply with hospital policies on incident reporting

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in New York
• Interventional Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (R)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate's degree in radiologic technology
• IR experience
• Neurointerventional experience
