MRI Tech Travel/Contract Job - Potsdam, New York

Position Details

• Shift: Day shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Location: Must be willing to work > 50 miles from home (no local candidates)
• Scrubs: No color requirement; scrubs not provided

Job Description

• Operate Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI large bore system and BRACCO power injector
• Perform MRI imaging on various body parts including:

  • Adult Acute Care, Abdomen (including MRA, MRV, MRCP), Female and Male Pelvis, Breast, Brain, Cranial nerves, Face/soft tissue neck, Head (MRA, MRV), Neck (MRV), Orbits, Foot, Hand, Hip/bony pelvis, Knee, Lower and Upper extremity long bones, Shoulder, Spine (Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/coccyx, Thoracic, Thoracic MRA), Spinal trauma
• Use advanced MRI techniques such as Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Maximum intensity projection (MIP), Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T-1 and T-2 Weighted Images
• Prepare and/or administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
• Follow isolation precautions and use PPE as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS certification
