Cath Lab Technician - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Position Details
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week, typically 06:00 - 16:30; shifts may vary weekly
- Call Requirements: Approximately 1-2 weeknight calls on weekdays and 1 weekend call per month; holiday call coverage as needed
- Floating: May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- RCIS or ARRT certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment
- Completion of signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment documentation
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with minimum 80% passing score (updated every 3 years)
- Completion of Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding education attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations)
- Health and immunization requirements:
- MMR: documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Tdap: valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA testing, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start; required annually)
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
- Background checks including criminal history, social security trace, OIG search, and national sex offender registry within 90 days prior to start; updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
- Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days prior to start; updated annually or after breaks in service longer than 90 days
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment; updated annually
- Completion of skills checklist for specialty within one year of start; updated annually
This position is suited for experienced Cath Lab Technicians with required certifications and prior travel experience, ready to work flexible shifts including call and floating assignments within the Milwaukee area.
