Description

Registered Nurse (Surgery) - Long Term Assignment

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Shift: Day shift, 06:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Must have 2 years of experience in a busy Operating Room (OR) setting.
EPIC electronic health record experience is required.
On-call requirement: one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks.
Work schedule: Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Workday hours may extend depending on case load.

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

Valid RN license in Illinois.
BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
DCI/BVP certification.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Operating Room (OR) experience.
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Documentation

Valid Driver’s License.

Additional Information

Name verification affidavit is optional and only required if there are discrepancies between credentials.
Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation is optional.

This position is ideal for experienced OR RNs with strong surgical and EPIC system skills, who are comfortable with on-call responsibilities and working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
