Location: Worchester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Job Description
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
- Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly; evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
- Document all required information accurately in electronic records and maintain patient records per policy.
- Record treatment minutes in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings or in-services.
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
- Adhere to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience in Long Term Care settings
- Experience in Rehabilitation settings
Additional Information
- Work schedule includes 8-hour day shifts.
- Participation in holiday and overtime shifts may be required.
