Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Oncology (Nights)
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work primarily on oncology and medical/surgical units with patient types including oncology, chemo/side effect management, and med/surg.
- Float across multiple med/surg units and campuses within the area.
- Night shift with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6.
- Unit size: 28 beds.
- No drips or titrations required.
- Experience with Infusaport access required.
- EMR system used: EPIC.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
- Orientation date provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of hematology/oncology experience within the last year
- Completion of 1 or more travel nursing assignments
- Experience with Infusaport access
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Valid driver’s license
