Surgical Technologist - Contract Opportunity

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Maintain sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and supplies efficiently for each surgical case.
• Collaborate with the Perioperative team to provide care according to AORN standards during the intraoperative period.
• Assist with stocking and ordering supplies for the department.
• Provide additional supportive patient care as directed.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Workdays: Wednesday through Friday
• Shift hours: 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• Valid Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
• Minimum of 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Orthopedic surgical experience
• Experience with DaVinci robotic surgery system

Additional Information

• Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (approximate elevation 8,000 feet)
• Not accepting any Return to Office (RTO) requests
• Travelers are responsible for their own housing; housing costs are high, especially in winter. Nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs may offer more affordable options. Typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt is around $3,500/month.
