Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown (Nights)
Location: Bay City, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs, telemetry, and critical metrics.
- Perform regular patient assessments, recognize subtle changes in condition, and initiate necessary interventions or life-saving measures.
- Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered.
- Provide specialized care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or with complex conditions such as ventilated patients and stroke patients requiring neuro checks.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diseases, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown (Progressive Care) nursing experience, with Stepdown experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
- Experience using Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Must be able to work night shifts

- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
